Lá inseirbhise do na múinteoirí
Beidh an scoil dúnta ar an 8ú Nollaig le haghaidh lá inseirbhise na Múinteoirí.
The school will be closed on Friday December 8th as all staff  have to attend an inservice day in the Education centre.
Rainbows.
Rainbows is a group/ club run by trained facilitators, to help children who are grieving a death, separation or other painful changes in the family. If possible the programme will run in the school for 12 weeks starting in November after the midterm break. It caters for children from 1st -6th class. Application forms can be collected from Pauline in the office and submitted as soon as possible before the midterm. You can also contact Múinteoir Ellie for more information.
Beidh an chlár ‘Rainbows’  más féidir ag tosnú sa scoil arís tar éis na Samhna. Beidh sé ar siúl feadh 12 seachtainí sa scoil. Beidh an chlár ar fáil do pháistí ó Rang 1-6. Is féidir foirmneacha a phiocadh suas ó Phauline san oifig nó dul i dteangmháil le Múinteoir Ellie.
 
Sos/ Midterm Break  Dúnann an Scoil de hAoine seo chugainn, 27ú don sos agus osclaíonn arís ar an 7 Samhain ar a 8.35a.m. School closes for Mid-term on next Friday 27th for Midterm and reopens on Monday Nov 6th at 8.35am. Tabharfar na Fillteáin amach ar an Déardaoin seo chugainn  Fillteán will be sent home next week on Thursday. Ní bheidh aon Nuachtlitir de hAoine 27ú. No Nuachtlitir on Friday 27th, on Thurs 26th  instead.
 
Iar –aire don bhriseadh meán tearma – Iar-aire for mid term break.
Beidh iar-aire ar siúl ón Máirt an 31ú go dtí an Aoine an 3ú Samhain
 Iar aire will take place Tuesday 31st – Friday 3rd. Pre-booking is essential – Call 087-1388085 to book your place. Daily rate of €20  for 8.00am – 2.00pm   or €40 for full day. Weekly rate €70 for early session or €150 for full week. Fáilte roimh páiste as gach rang. All classes welcome to avail of the iar –aire. Halloween Party and dressing up on the 31st.

An tseachtain seo caite tugadh amach ‘proofs’ na bhfótós a tógadh anseo. Cuir ar ais an clúdach roimh an Déardaoin seo chugainn, an 26ú lá. Photo-proofs of children, families, classes and team were sent home last week. Please return orders by Thursday 26th.
Oíche Shamhna ar scoil Halloween at School
Beidh cead gléasadh ar an 27ú lá. Iarrtar ar na hArdRanganna iarracht a dheanamh a gcuid éadaí a dhéanamh sa bhaile. I mbliana táimid ag iarraidh ar chuile chlann siúntiús beag a thabhairt isteach agus rachaidh an t-airgead go dtí Temple Street.  Children can dress up this year on Friday 27th, last school day before ‘Oíche Shamhna’. For the Senior Classes we ask the children to try to make their costumes. Masks, etc will be allowed. Also we ask, that like all home assignments that Parents refrain from ‘making the outfit’. This year we are using the Halloween party as a fund raiser for Temple Street Children’s Hospital. ‘Trick of treat for Temple Street’. We would ask that each family bring in a small donation for a very good cause.
 
Rang a 6: Coláiste an Eachréidh Athenry’s GaelCholáiste:
Oíche Oscailte do Rang a 6 ar an 25ú Deireadh Fómhair ag 7.30in. Athenry’s Colaiste an Eachréidh, our nearest Gaelcholáiste for Second Level, holds an Open Night for Rang a 6 families on Wed. 25th. Today some of Rang a 6 visited the school as well. We recommend that all families attend as all children are prepared here for All-Irish education at second level.
 
Boscaí ‘Team Hope’ Christmas Boxes Bileoga ó ‘Team Hope’ – na ‘Christmas Shoeboxes’ tugtha amach an tseachtain seo chaite. Máirt 7ú Samhain na boscaí le bheith istigh. Last week  a leaflet from ‘Team Hope’ Christmas Shoeboxes Appeal  went home in the filteán. Tuesday Nov. 7th is the deadline

ACT for Meningitis:Dé Sathairn an 28ú Deireadh Fómhair Saturday October 28th
The Zombie Chase, is a unique family 2k chase in aid of the National Support and Awareness Charity, ACT for Meningitis. A crowd of terrifying zombies will be realeased onto the Salthill Prom – their mission to capture every human,  big or small and to prevent them from making their way to the safety zone of Salthill Park. Ranganna Gaeilge:
Toisc nach raibh suim ag daoine sna ranganna Gaeilge, táimid chun iad a chuir siar go dtí an chéad tearma eile – tar éis na Nollag. As there was very little interest in Irish Classes we have decided to postpone them until after Christmas. We hope to run an 8 week course then depending on interest.
