Nóta ó Tommy Keane faoin gceol: Music practice: Parents should note that they need to ensure that the children have a regular home practice routine to take part in and keep up with others in the tin whistle & fiddle classes. To help with this, Tommy has made recordings of all the music he teaches in the school and these are available online for the children to hear and practice with at www.tommykeane.com - click on “Tunes”. They are organised according to the sheets of tunes he gives to the children. If you don’t hear the child playing at home, it’s unlikely they are making any progress. The fiddle will require more practice than the whistle.
Áthchursáil – Cadhnraí: Chuireamar amach boscaí áthchursáil cadhnraí san fhiltean an tseachtain seo chaite. Nuair atá said lán is féidir iar a sheoladh ar ais chugainn agus beidh said bailithe as an scoil. Battery recycling. We sent home battery recycle boxes in last weeks filteán. When full they can be returned to the school and they will be collected from here.
Geataí na Scoile – bíonn said dúnta gach lá nuair atá na paistí sa chlós ag am sósa – dúnann siad 10 nóiméad sula dtagann na páistí amach. Má tá duine ag iarraidh a gcarr a bhogadh ón gclós beidh orthu fanacht go dtí go bhfuil an sos thart. Bíonn na geataí dúnta uaireanta eile má tá ranganna sa chlós – ní bheimid ag ligint carranna isteach nó ag scoileadh amach iad I rith na tréimhsí sin. School gates: - The school gates close 10 minutes before and during breaks. If a car is on the school premises during those times, they will have to wait until the break is over before the gates are re-opened. The gates are also closed if there are classes using the yard during the school day. Best advice is to park outside the gates during the school day.
SAVE THE DATE: Feis na nÓg will take place on 10th March in Calsanctius College. Application forms for the Feis will go out by the end of the month.
