We are asking parents to bake (cakes, scones, cookies, rocky road, cupcakes etc), sponsor a prize for the raffle on the day, help set up the hall on Friday after school, and clean up afterwards and /or help at the stands on the day. All children go home at 2pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Please remember that all children have been assigned a 10 minute slot. If you need more time than that please make an appointment to see the teacher again on another day. Takes place on Sunday week,25th. in NUIG Bailey Allen Hall. Recommended for all older children. Rang a 3 Fionnuala have a Stand and hope all will visit and support them. Free Family tickets in Fillteán. Some shows need to be prebooked on www.galwayscience.eventbrite.ie from 11am tomorrow.There will be a Park n Ride available from Corrib Village from 11am.

Cairde de hÍde are trying to set up a ‘Ciorcal Cainte’ and are looking for an Irish speaking parent to act as a facilitator – If anyone is interested please leave their name and number in the Oifig and we will pass it on to Cairde. Míle buíochas do Ken Scally, Seán Meaghar agus na Oranmore First Responders who gave a talk and practical demonstration on CPR and use of a defibrillator. There were 15 parents in attendance and all got a chance to practice the procedures. Rainbows Programme Gaelscoil de hÍde
Our school is pleased to be in a position to offer children who have experienced loss through bereavement or parental separation/ divorce the opportunity to participate in the Rainbows 9 week programme.
When significant change and loss happens in a family, the entire family can be affected including children. Children generally find it difficult to understand their feelings and often do not have the words to say how they feel.
Rainbows provides group support for children of a similar age and loss experience. Meeting others in a similar situation can be very supportive for children.
Rainbows is not a counselling group or professional therapy.
It is a free service.
